As we were pulling into the parking lot, there was a woman locking up a Real Estate office next door. We asked her how this restaurant was. Turned out that she is the owner Susan! Of course she gave it a pretty good rating. She walked us in and introduced us as her "cousins". It was very good! The Rack of Lamb was excellent, as we're the other dinners we had. Everyone was very nice. I think they would have been even if Susan hadn't come in with us. Our server, Rich is a local. His Mother also works there. We'll definitely come back!

Old Marco Pub was a surprise! It is outstanding Italian food. My husband is Italian and grew up in the restaurant business so he knows good food. The best crab cakes I have ever had and the Osso bucco is amazing. This is a restaurant you do not want to miss.

Decent Italian food but nothing special. Good friendly service. Tried the veal rolitini and Oslo bocco not a lot of flavor. Better at DaVinci's, Arturo's and Sale y Pepe.

Great food. I've been here about six times now. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant side. The lamb is fabulous. The food always comes out fast. The prices might be a little high but must places on Marco seem to be compared to what I'm use to.

Never had scallops and prawns as tender and sweet!! Must stop here!! Noisy inside so sit in the enclosed porch

Way overpriced poor quality food not prepared well horrible service I will never go back there again they don't even deserve one star very bad frowning face I was not happy at all it was a huge waste of money I do not recommend it there's so many other great places to go where you're treated right and you know what if it costs a lot and I'm treated right and the food is good I don't mind paying but read the above and I do mind

Don't be fooled by appearances, this is some of the best food on the island. Definitely opt to sit in the bar area as the atmosphere is a bit more lively, and they have good live music on the weekends. Veal rollatini Marsala is to die for, and last time I had veal parmigiana which was also solid. I could have docked 1 star for atmosphere and the service was just okay, but the food is always most important and it went way above and beyond.

Went there for a family dinner with kids, server was very nice but service was a bit slow. We all ordered dinners and they were all very good, we had Italian and a fillet mignon and they were all good. The interior is a little dated but definitely a solid meal for a fair price.

Delicious! Don't judge the place by its cover, food is amazing. Crab cake is 100% jumbo lump crab. Chicken sorrentino is a melt in your mouth creation and the fresh broiled grouper is one to not be missed. Food tastes like it is make with love and the service is excellent. Soup is also not worthy. Had cream of mushroom soup. Not too heavy and not too salty. I can not say enough about this place!

This is one of our favorite places on Marco. It's has a dual-personality for sure -- hence the name, "pub and restaurant." The food's the same (and the main point), so let's start there: solid, delicious, all made on premises and cooked to order. Been there countless times, never had a bad meal ... and never failed to finish, even though it looked like too much. It is, but it's great! If you like lasagna, when you're first seated ask if it's available (it's not always on the menu). Best lasagna anywhere. Okay, back to the environment. The restaurant is a basic affair, but who cares? Helps hold the costs down. The pub is as lively as it gets on Marco, and the owners are truly wired into the local music scene (and have national bona fides, as you'll see from the wall decorations). Oh, and the owners are flat-out wonderful people in every respect. To me, pulling it all together, it makes for a great evening. Sit where you want based on your desire for quiet or for the music. Bar area expanded and redecorated. Full bar.

Drove by many times, but after reading the reviews, we thought we would try it, esp. since they have live music every night. Sat at the bar as suggested, which is out thing anyway. Drinks were excellent and the crab cakes were absolutely the best! An enjoyable evening of eating, drinking, listening to live music, and talking with locals at the bar!

We went here based on the reviews on Yelp but found it to be pricey and not worthy of the 4 star average it carries. To start the decor of the restaurant is straight out of the 70s complete with wood paneling, plastic flowers and poor lighting. The placed looked like it has not had a thorough scrubbing in some time particularly the AC vents which were caked with dust. They share the space with a Pub (same owner) divided by a single wall. While I enjoy Aerosmith and AC/DC I do not necessarily want that music coming from the jukebox next door especially when I am having dinner. If you are going to have both businesses make sure the music doesn't start until after dinner (say 8 or 9 PM). My wife and I stuck with the fish and the entree was good but not spectacular. A small green salad drenched in salad dressing and a pasta (ziti) side dish completed the order. Prices range from $18 (salmon special) to $28 for the stuffed grouper. Definitely on the high side for the island. Better options include Snook Inn where the salad bar is more varied and plentiful as well as Arturo's if you are looking for Italian. In short, you will get a decent entree and good service here, I just feel that for the money you can do a better.

Amazing, as always. The food was just as good as it was 12 years ago, if not better. The food came out quick and HOT!! Would totally recommend this great place. Even worth the drive if you are in Naples.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
